Food is always top notch. Service is great and the outdoor seating was surprisingly pleasant even near the road. Definitely recommended.
Great local restaurant with casual fair and atmosphere. In warmer months they have a nice outside patio. Would recommend the the baked scallops at a reasonable price.
Best place on the area. Fresh cut fries. Homemade clam chowder. Everything wonderful. Wow we were just passing through too.. hope the locals know how good they got it.
The cheese burger club was a killer burger! The separation the third slice of toasted bread created between the meat and cheese and the tomatoes and lettuce kept the veggies nice and crisp. Onion rings were awesome too! We also had the steak and cheese with fries which was a tasty combo. Ended up with a lava cake and blueberry cheesecake ice cream to top off a solid meal during our pit stop of biking the rail trail. Staff was friendly. Would highly recommend!
Lobster salad was terrific - salad was a real salad, not just lettuce, like some places - and the sizable lobster chunks were delicious, with a very light mayo dressing.
Got the general gau app, wasn’t on the special board but the nice waitress had them make it. Better than all three Chinese restaurants in town by far. A little spicy but great!
Putnam’s is an overall fabulous restaurant. We have dined at Putnam’s a handful of times and each experience has earned a 5-star rating. Their menu is quite extensive offering appetizers, soups & salads, burgers & sandwiches, pasta, seafood and even daily specials. Today, we ordered the SW Egg-rolls appetizer (a lunch special), Turkey Club, Baked Seafood Sampler, and Fried Sea Scallops. All of which were reasonably priced, high quality food product, and oh quite tasty! Delicious. I will return to Putnam’s specifically for their Baked Seafood Sampler next time I have a lobster & scallop craving. I think we all can agree a restaurant’s staff can make or break a dining experience. Everyone here is pleasant, courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. I feel comfortable dining here with our family, everyone is so welcoming. They even have a diaper changing station with a mattress pad in the Ladies restroom which earns them bonus stars, in my opinion. Looking forward to our next visit back, keep up the outstanding service & food!
Great, great place to make a pit stop when you're in the area! Parking in the rear or on the street; it's up to you! We were seated right upon entrance and welcomed with smiles! Courtney took fantastic care of us from beginning till when we walked out! The menu has plenty of options to choose from. The food portions are very well sized. Food was delicious! Very pleased with this place. And don't forget to catch a view of the river nearby!

I came here with some of my family the other week for an early dinner and there was plenty of seating so we were able to sit outside. Our waitress was very friendly and our food was brought out in a reasonable time. All of our dishes were quite delicious and the desserts were up to par too! I’ve loved coming here over the years and it certainly is a local staple.
